"Twenty five years of fine-art, forty years of music playing, writing and singing as well as a lifetime of dreaming goes into one of my paintings today. They are pages from my diary, filled with poetic visions, inspired by fanciful dreams and music.

The painting must fill a void, quench a desire or illustrate a dream for me or it's voice would simply be too weak to be heard by the souls stumbling upon it. I communicate and reach out to others via the universal language of pictures, a timeless language of symbols who's echo can travel through centuries. It's a matter of intuition and seeing beyond the obvious, a painting should do more than freeze reality like a photograph. I gave up analyzing my work a long time ago, I'm always under the impression that I'm improvising when I create but I believe that I'm more like a medium or a channel when I paint or write, a lot of it is beyond my control, I'm just being receptive and open minded.

The beauty of a painting is in the truth of expression, I like to believe that whatever I paint was meant to be created, even if the reason escapes me like a wonderful mystery. Myths and legends can't just be a thing of the past or the future would promise to be very dull. I've always listened to my intuition and everything that has ever touched me deeply affects my work, I still see through the eyes of a child. Isn't it a blessing for an artist? I create out of curiosity, I'm interested in the invisible as well as the visible world, curiosity gives me wings!"
